The summer we have waited for for so long is finally here with a bang.

We have had a few changes around here - the website store has been closed and everything is funneling through ebay now.

Short sand sandals are the specials of the day - and we are clearing out our summer inventory.

Princess House Nouveau Cookware

We ran across some unique pieces in our travels.

Not knowing exactly what they were, we decided to purchase them anyway.

Come to find out, they are vintage pieces of Princess House cookware that were made back in the 1980's.

The Princess House Nouveau cookware is based on the traditional corning ware ceramic pieces that we are all familiar with.

They can be used on the stovetop, microwave, oven, freezer, and are dishwasher safe.

Their unique difference from the corning is the handy removable handle.

It is great when taking it from the microwave - just snap it on and no burnt fingers.

I was tempted to keep the set - they are just like new - and oh so versatile.

But since we are downsizing, I'll just stick to what I have been using for the last 30 years.

We are running each piece on Ebay over the next couple of weeks.

Changes for KML's Corner

Things are changing at KML's Corner.

We have been working for the past few months to move a load of our inventory.

The time is finally coming for us to make some lifestyle changes as retirement begins to draw near.

We will always be involved in online selling, but we will be getting away from keeping a large inventory on hand.

Downsizing is the correct word for it.

We have been offering much of our stock at low auction prices on ebay.

And everything has free shipping as long as it is to an United States address.

Many items are below what we paid for them, but we just want to move it out.

So don't let a good deal go by - be sure to check in on a regular basis to see what we have listed this week.

Summer on Ebay

It has always been slow during the summer.

Ebay just isn't the place to be when summer comes calling.

I admit, being outside is sure tempting, and I tend to give in more and more as the summer progresses.

But we are still listing regularly on ebay.

So keep us in mind and check in once in a while to see if we have anything you need or can use.

The KML website is winding down - we hope to retire in a couple of years.

Ebay will always be around for us, but on a smaller scale after we move out the inventory we have.

Taxes Finally Done

It took about a month, but the taxes are now finally done for another year.

It is always a relief to have that big job done.

The computer and online filing certainly makes the job so much easier.

The program that we use automatically imports all the info from the previous year, so that saves a lot of time right there.

No addition errors, no missing entries, and no running around to try to find all the forms we need to file.

And the big one - no worrying if it got lost in the mail to the IRS and we get penalized for not filing.

All filed, all accepted, and now just awaiting the refund - which we can track online too.

I love my computer!!

Time for Taxes

It's getting to that time of year again.

Time to do the taxes.

I feel like the baker in the old Dunkin Donuts commercial - dreading it and being half with it as I delve into it.

But once the paperwork gets organized, and the the book-work gets calculated for each month through the year, things start to get smoother.

It will take a couple of weeks to finally get everything together, but it is a good feeling to have it underway.

A very big part of being in business for oneself, and once it is done it will be such a relief.

Back to the books I go!

Lots of Auctions

The Christmas shopping season has been moving right along and we have had some happy buyers over the last couple of weeks.

Of course, the economy has taken a toll on people's spending habits, and we have noticed this with many of our auctions.

Everyone wants and needs a good deal these days and the prices reflect that.

We usually try to keep about 130 items listed on ebay at all times.

Lately we have been up over 200.

And they are really good deals that make great gifts for the holidays.

We ship most things by priority mail so there is still plenty of time left for getting them in time.
